With nearly 30 years of proven experience bridging technical execution and commercial success across the global energy sector, Tunc brings expertise in integrated project services that span continents, cultures, and complex energy challenges.
Professional journey
This career journey mirrors the energy sector’s evolution from traditional oil and gas through energy transition to emerging technologies. Beginning as a commercial engineer in 2001, the progression involved increasingly senior roles with expanding responsibilities.
Early focus centered on cost estimation and commercial support for major capital projects, building expertise in delivering value across large-scale developments. Subsequent roles expanded into project services, interface management, and strategic planning support for significant global energy projects.
As the industry transformed, responsibilities grew to encompass technical authority positions, leading teams through estimating, planning, and risk management while safeguarding entire exploration and production portfolios. This period included mentoring diverse teams and delivering educational sessions on upstream project complexities.
Leadership roles evolved to managing commercial functions at group level, spanning traditional oil and gas alongside energy transition ventures. The journey culminated in overseeing teams focused on complex, multidisciplinary developments while championing holistic field development approaches—embracing innovation and supporting clients through their transformative journey toward a lower-carbon future.
This progression reflects both personal growth and the industry’s dynamic shift toward sustainable energy solutions.
